AN OFFERING FOR HEALERS, SPIRITUAL TEACHERS, + ENTREPRENUERS RACED AS ‘WHITE’ (OR WHO PRESENT AS ‘WHITE’)
“Catalyctic.” - Lauryn
“Necessary. A life changing experience.” - Allie
“Uncomfortable. Safe. Empowering.” - Kat
“This is the course to take right now.” - Max
We’re in session! Next round starts Fall 2020.
We’re gathering white people.
We see a world where spiritual people - who have been raced by the system as white - are uncovering their ancestral magic and flying in on broomsticks to show up for justice.
(okay, maybe not broomsticks, but definitely cauldrons — we’ll explain later)
At Energetic Justice:
We believe energy is the most powerful tool for healing and justice.
We envision a world where energy is sacred and injustice is impossible.
Our mission is to help people harmonize their energy for the spiritual battle of liberation.
We know people raced as white have particular work that is ours to do in harmonizing our energies for justice. This is why we created ORIENTATION:
to nurture a culture of healing people so they can change systems
hanging systems so they don’t harm anyone in the first place.
We’re gathering people that are ready for:
>> exploring the sacred responsibility of being a white person here and now
>> BEING WITNESSED IN YOUR COMMITMENT TO UPLIFTING THE COLLECTIVE
>> doing your spiritual work IN A WAY THAT IS IN INTEGRITY, HELPS FOLKS GET FREE, AND NOURISHES YOUR SOUL
You may already be doing a lot already to navigate healing and justice, but you desire more:
>> authentic relationships & nuanced conversations
>> connection to embodied healing justice leaders
>> concrete tools for applying healing and justice to your work & life
“I had just finished a few years of work in the spiritual "white girl" arena and was beginning to feel like the movement was lacking depth and authenticity.” - Kat
The problem is…
As white folks, the system has set us up to get stuck in:
HYPER SELF-JUDGEMENT, CONFUSION, ISOLATION, PARALYSIS, PERFECTIONISM, SPIRITUAL BYPASSING, ANXIETY, and AVOIDANCE.
And all of that inevitably really impacts our ability to show up to the work and relationships that ultimately bring the spiritual liberation we’re all here for.
We need to move through our blocks because:
Oppressed peoples are experiencing worse outcomes today than before the civil rights era. The intersecting evil forces of racism, sexism, and classism are literally killing people. We haven’t kept one treaty with Native peoples in the history of our country. There are more black folks incarcerated today than the total number of kidnapped and enslaved Africans that were shipped to our shores. Womxn’s bodies across racial lines are being policed and their stories of abuse are being routinely dismissed. Wealth is increasingly concentrating into the hands of the top 1 percent, further perpetuating the cycle. These atrocities aren’t unique to the US: it’s happening all over the globe.
In response, generations of well-intentioned healers, spiritual teachers, and entrepreneurs raced as ‘white’ have often opted for bypassy, appropriative 5D beliefs that “we are all one”, rather than also rooting into the messy, productive 3D justice work that can actually bring the liberation we’re looking for.
It’s a crisis.
We’ve been called out for our silence, bypassing, and complicity.
And now, it’s time to bring it in.
If your spiritual work isn’t addressing collective liberation, then what are you actually healing?
We’ve designed this 3 month certification to specifically help healers, spiritual teachers, and entrepreneurs of European descent move into ever-deepening clarity & authentic action. Because you’re (we’re) ready for the next level of healing and justice.
is for you if:
You desire the tools and perspectives to actually help humanity heal from the divisions that plague us, including racism, classism, & sexism.
You want your business and/or spiritual work to mirror the liberation and sovereignty you envision for the world.
You’re feeling called to or curious about working at the intersection of healing and justice.
You want to move from feelings of guilt for being white to feelings of empowerment and clarity on how to take transformational action.
You’re ready to connect to the cutting-edge Healing Justice leaders of our time.
You want to bolster your spiritual work with a justice lens (just like we have certifications for other lenses, like trauma, we need a lens for justice!)
You’re ready to move out of cultural appropriation and connect with your own ancestral culture + ritual.
ORIENTATION supports you as you connect with your own indigenous, ancestral magic.
By the end of ORIENTATION you’ll have:
Definitions, examples, stories, and resources to support your reckoning with cultural appropriation, spiritual bypassing, and navigating call out culture.
Practical tools to increase the liberatory power of your spiritual offerings + presence.
A People’s History of what whiteness is, how/why it was created, how it shows up energetically, and how whiteness isn’t actually good for white people either.
A People’s History of indigenous Europe and the mystical, earth-based roots of our ancestors.
Rootedness in European ancestral healing frameworks so you can move out of cultural appropriation and into greater integrity.
Tools and narrative for decolonizing (a.k.a. healing) our spiritualities, including decolonizing Christian Supremacy.
A HER-story of the repressed divine feminine + re-membering its integral presence across all faith traditions.
A radicalization of your sacred heart space to anchor your healing work in an informed vision for justice.
An intentional up-leveling of your energy body as you integrate the healing we learn in ceremony.
Testimonials from our last time around the fire…
“This is the course I didn't know I have always needed. I have never been so amazed at how much a person can learn and uncover in the span of 3 months. I really thought I understood a lot of things before coming across this course, but boy was I wrong. The space that was created during our sessions was one I will always cherish and the other participants will always hold a special place in my heart. I'm not going to lie, this course contains HARD topics to talk about but I'm so glad that I did it.”
“It gave me the confidence to reclaim a lineage that I didn't really fully understand was mine to claim. It also allowed me to respect other cultures practices and let go of using the parts that no longer felt comfortable for me to use. I could honour the role other spiritual practices served in my healing and step further into a deeper practice that felt more like my own.”
Explore the ORIENTATION curriculum that will reshape your work to meaningfully bring heaven to earth…
ORIENTATION is an applied study of the energy body, drawing on the Celtic cultural framework of the cauldrons, as well as our own fields of practice (reiki healing, somatic psychotherapy, biomimicry, yogic philosophy, activism, and more). The curriculum is designed to deepen your orientation to the energetic poles (Earth below + Cosmos above) and anchor you in the radical heart space required for personal sovereignty and collective liberation.

Who are we?
We’re the Kellys, space holders here at Energetic Justice, and yes, we have the same name. Our name carries the energy of Kelle, the Celtic mother goddess and darkness warrior of pre-colonial Ireland, whose origins began in Asia as Kali Ma. We are using our warrior name as our mission to fortify people for the spiritual battle for #energeticjustice.
We both have backgrounds as healers and activists, and we believe we are now entering an era where spirituality and social justice are inseparable. We can no longer organize without healing. We can no longer heal without organizing. We created ORIENTATION to help healers, activists, and conscious entrepreneurs orient their spiritual work to movements for liberation.
“ORIENTATION has given me a whole new way of looking at myself and the way I interact with the world, as a woman of primarily European descent, as a business owner, and as a member of the collective. I realized that my ancestors had given up so much in order to fit in as "White". I learned that I cannot solve these problems alone. ORIENTATION has provided me with the tools I need to have tough conversations with friends and family about how we can decolonize our bodies, our minds, and our beliefs. Conversations that are WAY past due. After working with the Kellys and digesting the content, I have a deeper sense of clarity around how I have contributed to and benefited from racist systems, AND how I can play a part in dismantling that system for collective liberation. The focus for my healing practice has shifted from helping individuals make their own lives better, to helping individuals work towards collective liberation, because if my work isn't liberatory, then who is it really serving?”
- Lauren Elizabeth, Spiritual Mindset and Empowerment Coach, themindsetwitch.com
“If you have been on the fence, and really wanting to dive deeper into how you can help change systematic issues in this country, this is without a doubt the course to take right now. ORIENTATION not only accurately represented the ‘true’ history of racism of the United States, but it completely opened my worldview and showed me how de-colonizing my body, mind, and spirit, can usher me into taking aligned action. It is clear we are at crucial point in our world story, where we have the power to shift from systematic oppression to radical expression, and the Kelly's are definitely the ones to guide us through this important work.”
- Max Smoot, Community Wealth Strategist
“ORIENTATION is the most important investment I have made in my path of healing and activism. It’s connected dots for me on all levels of my inner and outer worlds. Many of the questions I had been personally pondering regarding spirituality, social justice, whiteness, ancestral reclamation, and liberation were given structure and space to be explored more deeply. I've come much closer to my ancestors and the medicine of my lineage. I've been able to go a layer deeper in rooting out toxic Catholic Christendom from my system. I've also been able to release New Age BS that I've been exposed to and understand why it isn't nourishing and liberatory personally and collectively. Through ORIENTATION, I found a path forward that unites the many threads of my identity, interests, and vocation in support of my personal healing and our collective liberation.”
- Lauryn Miranda, laurynmiranda.com
“When I started ORIENTATION all I knew is that as a white woman doing spiritual work something felt off about my industry....I didn't know what I didn't know, but I knew staying quiet was getting harder and sending light and love no longer felt authentic. Through the information, keynotes and more importantly the container created by the Kellys, ORIENTATION has reconnected me with a lineage I didn't even know I belonged to, it has opened my eyes to an ongoing history of white supremacy and colonization not only here on Turtle Island but of pre-colonial Europe and I have learned to feel sacred rage. I still am learning, I still don't know exactly what to say or do to make change in this world but I no longer can partake in the culture of "nice", with the toolbox given to us in ORIENTATION I can see things with a new perspective, add my voice to the Energetic Justice movement and I can begin to work as an activated healer for true healing, because we as humans cannot truly heal ourselves without also working to create an environment that allows for all to heal.”

Next round in Fall 2020.
Why is this a certification and not a course or workshop?
Because this work needs to be taken seriously.
At Energetic Justice, we are clear that using our energies for justice is very serious. Justice work - such as the dismantling racism, classism, and sexism - is the work for our time. Unfortunately, it is not (often) prioritized, funded, or taken seriously in the same way that we take seriously other social and physical dis-eases. For example, we would never go to an oncologist who was not ‘certified’ in some way to treat cancer. The -isms are cancer, thus we believe that we must approach our justice work with the same rigor and accountability as we approach all life-threatening work.
Is there a final exam for the certification?
For the reasons explained above on rigor and accountability, yes — there is a final exam to receive the certification. It is based off of the core concepts of the ORIENTATION program that will measure your internalization of the realities of white supremacy, colonialism, patriarchy, classism and the emerging intersectional frameworks for transmuting evil into an energetically just world. Upon completion of the exam, you will receive your official certification via email.
Why is this certification currently only available to white people?
Because we are white people and we are organizing around what we know.
We offer Energetic Justice as a field of study and practice for people of all identities. The free resources on our website are designed for all people and we are eager to identify a coalition of Now Age Leaders who are channeling the possibilities of Energetic Justice alongside us in their own communities. This is why one of our first priorities in modeling the potential for Energetic Justice is to start with our own community of European-descended people raced as white. We envision future offerings and certifications under the Energetic Justice umbrella that are developed, organized, and led by healers and teachers across race.
Are you saying that this certification completes white people’s work against systems of oppression?
Individual and collective liberatory healing is not a moment or a certification. It is a lifelong, iterative process which calls for our commitment to long-haul, transformational work. This deeply challenges the dominant narrative in society that tells us anything can be fixed with an 8 week program or the right pill. It also challenges the dominant theory of change, which says transformation comes from the top-down and can be managed with a linear, predictable strategy. The Truth is that our healing is not linear, but circular; Not predictable, but an emerging process; Not only top-down, but also bottom-up. The certification is designed to plug white people into the movement of intersectional leaders who are engaged in this iterative, emergent process of social change.
How much time per week do I need to work through the certification?
2-4 hours per week.
While it’s important to know this information, this is actually our least favorite question. ORIENTATION is unraveling generations of ancestral trauma stored in your body, your relationships, and your worldview. Committing to this journey fully means that your processing may take more time than expected. One of the most common symptoms of white supremacy is an over-emphasis on time and efficiency, rather than relationship and a spaciousness for reflection. The simple answer is that we meet for around 2 hours per week; you’ll be writing a weekly reflection on our private Facebook group (30min); and some weeks you’ll have homework (1.5h). The more nuanced answer is that it’s impossible for us to know what this journey is going to require from you. It will be as deep as you allow it to go and may bring up intense emotions that need your attention and process time.
How long will I have access to the certification resources?
All of the content from ORIENTATION will be downloadable (class recordings, resource PDFs). It will be your responsibility to download anything you want to keep.
How are you centering and supporting People of Color and their voices in this offering?
By having keynote speakers of color, centering POC thought leadership in our syllabus, and donating 5% of tuition to POC organizers.
This work is based on many lineages of POC-centered work — all of whom we cite and reference within the program so you can check out their work directly. A large chunk of our curriculum points you to learning from intersectional POC leadership and all of our planned keynotes are POC. Additionally, 5% of all income earned from ORIENTATION will always be donated to intersectional POC organizations.
Is it okay to gather alone as white people for this conversation?
It’s actually not okay for us not to gather and have these conversations.
We cause harm when we don’t do our own work. Every lineage of mentorship we have each had in movement work not only says it ‘okay’ for white people to gather together, but that it is a necessary component of racial justice organizing called ‘caucusing’. By gathering together to do our work as white people, we are in fact responding to a call from POC to do our own emotional, spiritual, and justice-informed work that can transform how we show up for the movement and encourage others to do the same.
How are you accountable to other leaders within the larger movement?
Accountability is a relationship thing — so we’re constantly building and nurturing relationships within the movement.
We understand accountability to be a matter of emergent strategy: like a flock of birds figuring out how to move together, we are constantly signaling and receiving signals how to move and adapt. This means accountability is an evolving movement process as we learn how to shift power and center the leadership of those most impacted by systemic injustice. This is super tricky, because not all movement leadership has the same political frameworks or tactics. Therefore, we find accountability requires a process of spiritual discernment on how we show up. At EJ, we have developed a list of discerned characteristics of leaders that help us navigate whose voices we prioritize/center. Click here to check out our webinar on The Now Age, which includes a downloadable guidebook with some quotes from the voices we currently follow for direction. This list includes both leaders who know us and with whom we have regular conversation, as well as leaders who know nothing about us but we follow their work closely.
Is this training U.S.-centric, or is it inclusive of global communities and perspectives?
It’s designed to be inclusive, but we recognize there may be some US-centrism, given it is our home country.
We strive to make Energetic Justice and all of our offerings, such as ORIENTATION, as inclusive as possible. The curriculum of ORIENTATION is designed to be a global perspective and inclusive of global understandings of spirituality and justice-work. We acknowledge, however, that we are both from and primarily socialized within the influence of U.S. empire, and therefore we have many subconscious biases toward a U.S.-centric way of viewing the world. Additionally, because our organizing networks at this time are more based on Turtle Island, our keynotes generally tend to be living on/from there. As our organizing and global relationships grow, we plan to have keynotes that reflect the world’s movements for liberation.
Is it okay for white people to use words like ‘decolonize’ and ‘indigenous’?
We’re not sure.
The more we connect with folks indigneous to Turtle Island, the more we are getting clear about why for some native folks it feels inappropriate for white folks to use these words to describe their work with white people. There are also other native folks, both indigenous to Turtle Island and to other places on the globe, who have asked us to use these words as we describe the process white folks are in, particularly as both of us come from lineages of European womxn who were the first peoples colonized, and then became wildly complicit the colonizing of POC around the world as colonialism spread.
The one thing that is feeling really sure to us, is that we don’t ever want to be using words like ‘decolonize’ outside of a commitment in our work to return land to the stewarding and leadership of native peoples. We also are clear we don’t want to be helping white folks return to our own indigeneity outside of practices of deep grief and lament for how disconnected from the land we have been under white supremacy, and the violence we’ve enacted because of that disconnection.
How did you arrive at the cost of this certification?
Lots of spiritual discernment.
We arrived at the cost of the certification through a variety of values we hold, including:
Legitimizing the power of healing and spiritual work as a worthy investment
Honoring the energy we each give to develop, promote, and facilitate this experience over 3 months, as we live in the financial realities of organizing in the US
Fairly compensating who and what is holding the space for this transformational work: the facilitators, the keynote speakers, the scholarship recipients, and the black intersectional organizations at the forefront of our movement through a 5% donation of all proceeds
Creating the conditions for participants’ radical transformation through meaningful material investment
Is it ethical to be paid for spiritual work?
Is any work not spiritual?
We’re not sure it’s possible to do work in this world that is non-spiritual. It feels to us at EJ that this distinction between the secular and the spiritual is a part of this colonial mess.
That said, we totally understand that there’s a long legacy of cultural appropriation (taking spiritual/cultural practices not-your-own and making a profit off of them) and Christendom practices like indulgences (forcing folks to pay their way into the spiritual realm) that are sickening and huge part of the problem. We know this is likely why it’s super taboo in many communities to charge for spiritual care and initiations, such as ORIENTATION.
Prior to colonialism, it’s likely that none of our peoples would have been charging for spiritual care, because their communities would have taken care of the needs of the healers. However, most of us spiritual healers don’t live in that kind of situation, and we need to eat, pay rent, and generally survive under capitalism. Energetic Justice is nearly a full-time job for us, so in order to do this work with the level of intention and impact that we are committed to, we have to say no to a lot of other potential income sources. So, yes, we do charge for our work and seek to do that in the most energetically just way possible. We look forward to the day when a new economic system will be in place.
Is it ethical to be paid for anti-racism work as a white facilitator?
There’s a lot of different opinions about this.
Some folks believe that white folks should never make money off of anti-racism work. Our white and POC anti-racism mentors and elders have helped us to see that in fact there’s no job out there we can take that isn’t making money off of racism. While we could each decide to go on in our respective careers as energy healers and somatic therapists and not talk about race, we have come believe that would be dishonoring of the fields of energy work we are trained in (all of which come from POC lineages), and would also be dishonoring of our clients and the fact that a primary influence of trauma in the body is our racialization.
We are committed to taking up the right amount of space and work in this emerging field of trauma-informed anti-racism, and we commit to charging enough that we will be able to stay in it for the long-haul and appropriately compensate BIPOC practitioners who are watching and guiding our work with white folks.
I can’t afford the cost of the certification at this time. What are my options for engaging with this work?
We know that not all white people are economically situated to afford this offering.
We developed a 12-month payment plan to make this offering as affordable as possible, while also fairly supporting the leaders, keynotes, and organizers supported by ORIENTATION. We also offer 2 50% scholarships for ORIENTATION and will prioritize these scholarships slots for those most impacted by economic injustice. We ask that you meaningfully discern your eligibility for this need-based grant. If you are clear that you are ready for this experience and in need of the 50% off scholarship rate, we invite you to email us explaining why you’re in need of this scholarship as well as what you’re hoping to unblock, release, or achieve as a result of this course at email@example.com by the application deadline (TBD when we launch the 2020 enrollment process). In the event you do not receive a scholarship, we encourage you to check out our Free Resources here.
I’m not a business owner - Does this certification work for people who are working inside of an institution?
ORIENTATION is designed to support healers and spiritual teachers doing a wide-range of work in the world. While our Energetically Just Business Bundle is explicitly designed for spiritual business owners & entrepreneurs, all of its principles apply to any person that is seeking to heal and to bring justice within their line of work.
I don’t consider myself a spiritual teacher - Does this certification work for people who are spiritually devoted and curious about these issues?
Absolutely (and by the way, you are a spiritual teacher).
ORIENTATION is designed to support and expand your spiritual practice, literally orienting you in the real energetic grid through up-leveling your Root, Heart, and Crown Chakras, connecting you to the major energy poles and into your unique, centered place in the world so you can be more effective in the collective work of bringing heaven to earth.
I’m really interested in ORIENTATION, but I’d like to hear more from you directly. Can I schedule some times to talk with you?
We’d love to chat!
We’re happy to connect with you and answer any questions you might have to help you discern if ORIENTATION is a fit for you. You can schedule a time to connect with us here: firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “Discovery Call”.
How are you creating space for yourselves as leaders to make sure you don’t burn out?
Thank you for asking!
We know from experience that movement work burns people out. Wrestling the Powers that Be, trying to survive the infighting that movement people do to one another, and creating work that is in deep integrity takes a lot of energy. There are a few practices we are engaged in to keep our fire burning:
A daily embodied practice to connect with our spiritual guidance
Relational spaciousness and debriefing time in our meetings
Responsibly tending to our chronic health issues
Connecting regularly with our movement people
Hiring our own mentors / coaches
How are you making decisions as leaders to engage with criticism and call-out?
We invite you to call us back into movement alignment.
We’re not here to entertain destructive call-outs from people who aren’t genuinely interested in understanding our work. We’re not here to engage in unproductive debates that don’t advance the movement for liberation. When someone expresses concern with our approach, we hold ourselves accountable by following an energetically just process that involves self-care, spiritual discernment, counsel from each other and from mentors, and (if required) principled action to address the situation. You can learn more about our framework for navigating call-out, call-in, and self-care cultures in our free training + guidebook: Welcome to the Now Age: Navigating Call-Out Culture + Creating Energetic Justice.
Are you saying Energetic Justice is all we need?
Of course not.
Under our current capitalist economic system, we are consistently socialized to view one another as competition. We seek to dismantle the lies of toxic competition within ourselves, and within the space that Energetic Justice holds by constantly reminding ourselves that we are just one node within a large constellation of healing + justice work. We are excited about every single person and organization of people working to bring more energetic healing and justice into the world.
What is your refund policy?
There are no refunds for ORIENTATION.
We ask those considering participation in the program to be discerning about their ‘yes’ to this private coaching & certification container. If you’re not clear about whether it is a good fit for you or not, let’s connect and talk it through.
